Gretty Good Time

Gretty Good Time by John Belluso opened on Thursday to great acclaim. We had a Talk Back afterwards with Ann Colby Stocking, Cailtin Gold and Rosemary Regan where we discussed playwright John Belluso's idea that people with disabilities are thrown into a "Shadow Light" by society, forcing them to exist only as shadows of humans.... not fully there.... without desire or impact. Ann related her experience as a child where she was not able to participate with the other children in recess because the school yard was on a steep hill. Caitin discussed her character as a disabled "super hero" .... able to do magical things. Very cool stuff.
Do we still do that? Didn't ADA fix all that?
